No one embodies the spirit of PSF more than Meredith! She went from rockstar client to amazing instructor and is always positive, encouraging and motivating! Learn more about her journey:

How long have you been taking PSF classes?

I’ve been taking PSF classes for almost 2 years, since April 5th, 2016 to be exact 🙂 2 years and I’ve never looked back!

What is your favorite thing about PSF workouts?

It’s almost impossible to name just one favorite thing about PSF classes! I love the intensity coupled with the efficiency of the classes at PSF. When I first started trying the different formats I couldn’t believe how hardcore the workouts were in one hour, 45 and even 30 minutes! After my first few classes I kept thinking, I can’t believe I actually thought I was working out hard before PSF! I love all of the instructors, who each have their own style while staying true to what makes PSF unique, the nonstop intensity. I love the variety of formats, the special classes and themed workouts! Those touches keep every day exciting and make me want to keep busting my butt!

Why did you want to start teaching PSF classes?

I wanted to start teaching at PSF for a number of reasons. I love the community, the instructors, wanted to get more involved. I also felt such a huge admiration for the amazing business Heather had built, PSF is such a testament to her talent and passion. The more I took classes the more I was hooked and wanted to spread the PSF joy all around! I couldn’t stop telling friends and family what an incredible and unique place it was. I knew the best way for me to share the Power Sculpt love was to put my time and effort into becoming an instructor!

What was the hardest thing about transitioning from client to instructor?

The trickiest part about making the leap from client to instructor was knowing that I’m following in the footsteps of some really incredible instructors and that the expectations at PSF are high, as they should be! At the same time, having such astrong group to learn from and who are so willing to help and guide me was truly priceless. I feel so lucky to get to train with the rockstar PSF instructors!

What is your #1 goal as a PSF instructor?

My #1 goal as an instructor is to make sure my class get the best workout they can in the time we have together. Efficiency is key here again and I want my classes to know they are going to feel awesome after making the effort to schedule their workout with me at PSF!

More about Meredith:

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico! I miss the Southwest (weather, duh!) but love living in a big city now. I moved to Illinois in 2001 and got my bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Lake Forest College. After college I worked in public relations for pharmaceutical companies and lived in New York City and Connecticut for 3 years. I’ve been back in Chicago since 2011 living in Roscoe Village and love it. My husband, Andrew, is from Boston and I have a 5 year old daughter, Paige and 6.5 year old son, Will (who think the PSF childcare room is the best ever!). I love running into fellow PSF’ers around Roscoe Village and Lakeview, it’s such a huge perk of Power Sculpt being an awesome locally-owned business!

I love to read (PSF bookclub anyone?!). I try to read a book or two a month but that can be a stretch! I ran the 100 and 300 meter hurdles in high school and played on the Varsity soccer team. I love Britney Spears and am trying to convince my husband that we should see her in Las Vegas, ha! I put salsa or hot sauce on almost everything, drink 3 La Croix a day and have to have a cup of coffee before I leave for PSF. I also really enjoy Bravo reality television while sipping a good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 🙂
