Alternative Afternoon Snacks When You Want a Cookie

Oh, we have ALL been there. Four o’clock rolls around and all you can think about is that cookie in the pantry/office break room/your purse. But you know that cookie will NOT make for a great snack. Instead, save the cookie for later and snack on these NOURISHING snacks instead!

Apple or banana with nut butter
Slice of whole grain toast topped with 1/3 sliced avocado
Cottage cheese and fruit
Cheese stick and baby carrots
Hummus and whole grain crackers
Plain yogurt topped with frozen berries
Hard-boiled egg and whole grain crackers
Fruit and nuts
Tuna and crackers

Brad’s Crunchy Kale Chips
KIND bars – fruit and nut bars
RX bars
Harvest Snaps or the Whole Foods Lentil Crisps
siggi’s yogurt
T. Joe’s mixed nut butter with whole grain bread or fruit
